After a long-standing club member overcame cancer thanks to the treatment and support she received at the Royal Marsden Hospital she decided to do something extra special to show her gratitude. After months of planning, 24 girls from Claygate Netball Club and New Malden Netball Club beat the existing record of 58 hours and played a continuous match for a whopping 60 hours. The girls also smashed the world record for highest number of goals scored in a match by getting the ball through the ring 4,821 times! Together the girls managed to raise over £63,000 for this amazing charity!
The club couldn’t have achieved this without the support of Coca-Cola, Six Physio, Kingsmill, ING, The Guildford Spectrum, Calypso Cricket, Doughty Hanson, Technical Staffing Solutions and Company Pictures. Some of the press coverage can be seen here.
